Good- win, Sunday May 1. Is the time drawing near when Christian missionaries will find their presence in mission land either un- welcome or unnecessary? If America is to maintain mission enterprises in other lands is there need of putting such enterprises on a new basis? This theme has been selected as particularly timely because Mr. and Mrs. Paul Reynolds are now on their way home for their first furlough {rom their work in China. Congregational Church to Hold Communion Services Communion services will be held at Winnetka Congregational church, Sun- day morning, with reception of new members. Among these will be a group of young people who have been attend- ing the special classes by the minis- ters. A week from Sunday morning an opportunity will be given to those who desire to do so, to contribute to the Red Cross fund for the flood sufferers in the South. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Dewar of 797 Pine street have as their guest Mr. Dewar's sister, Mrs. Rita Elder, who arrived here Wednesday from her home in Hollywood, Cal. Many entertainments are being planned in her honor. VISIT 8TH GRADERS New Trier High School Deans to Out- line Courses for Prospective Students at Series of Discussions The dean of boys and dean of girls at New Trier High school, with some assisting teachers, are to make a round of visits to the eighth grades of the various villages in the township to outline for them various possible courses, explain to prospective New Trier students various details of regis- tration so that they will have a clear understanding of all that is involved, and give the pupils and parents pres ent a chance to ask various questions. The school authorities 'are particu- larly anxious that the mothers and fathers be present at those meetings so that the school may get all the questions that are likely to arise and thus more completely smooth the way for those new students as they are about to make the change from the grammar school to the high school. The teachers who are to be with the deans are the advisor chairmen of the freshman class and some teachers of the special subjects, such as free- hand drawing, home economics, and commerce. The schedule for the vil- lages is to be as follows: Monday, May 9, 3 P. M., Wilmette --the boys meeting at the Howard school, the girls at the Byron Stolp school. Tuesday, May 10, 3 P. 'M., Kenil- worth. Thursday, May 12, 3:30 P. M., Win- netka. Friday, May 13, 3:30 P. M., Glen- coe. (Note the difference in time for Winnetka and Glencoe). Bill Carey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W J.
