Mrs. Rufus Dawes Talks Before Catholic League "The Open Road to Peace" was the subject discussed by Mrs. Rufus C. Dawes, prominent Evanstonian, at the meeting of the Catholic Woman's League of Chicago held Saturday at the Palmer House. Mrs. Dawes, who is chairman of the International Relations Committee of the General Federation of Women's clubs, is appearing this spring before a number of important clubs and other organizations. The Rev. Hugh P. Smyth, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic church, Evanston was among other speakers at the luncheon. Rollin Pease gave two groups of songs. Mrs. Robert H. McColl, prominent in Evanston Catholic club circles, was recently elected president of the league. Its membership includes a number of north shore women.
