May 14, 1927 J - Hokanson & Jenks Report Important Evanston Transfers Mrs. Nathan Siegel who owned the property at the southwest corner of Greenleaf and Wesley avenue, Evans- ton, has sold the building to Bernard J. Burns. This transaction was han- dled by Roy E. Lewis and Mr. Hokan- son of Hokanson and Jenks, inc. The lot is 50x150 and the property is im- proved with a one-story brick build- ing containing five stores. Bernard J. Burns has just resold the property to Miss Kathryne Goetz of 2663 Prairie avenue, Evanston. Mr. Hokanson of Hokanson and Jenks, Inc., represented the seller and H. A. Wise, the buyer. No price was dis- closed for either sale. Through Hokanson & Jenks, Inc., Mrs. C. C. Linthicum and Mrs. Eben McNair have purchased for investment the two houses located at 1571 and 1575 Oak avenue, Evanston. The prop- erty at 1571 Oak avenue was owner by Mrs. Joan D. Jones and is improved with an eight room frame house on a lot 40x130. Mr. John M. Meyer was the owner of 1575 Oak avenue and the improvement is an eight-room stucco house on a lot 40x130. Schuman to Lawrence P. Dwyer of Wilmette. Each room has at least one double wall opening, allowing plenty of connections for lamps and appliances. Exceptional closet space has been provided all through the house. All windows are equipped with latest and best type of steel sash, with permanent roll screens installed. Grading and seeding is now being completed. Crushed stone drive leads from the street to the garage. Winding flagstone walks to the front and rear entrances afford an attractive approach.
