This big task of_providing the quaint | and often beautiful raiment worn by the people of Assisi is in charge of Mrs. Roger Ballard. Another big part of the production is the dancing. In "The Little Poor Man" the gay children dance and the wild gypsy revelers dance. These must be trained. They must know steps that are fitting and that they coincide with the spirit of the performance. They are learning just such steps from Mrs. H. O. Barnes, who is con- nected with the Drama League of Chi- cago. Mrs. Barnes has in the past taught dancing at the Community House in Winnetka and for two years has directed dancing at the Children's Civic theater on the Municipal Pier. Cast in Rehearsals Then, of course, what is perhaps the biggest burden is being carried by the actors and their very capable direcjor, Mrs. Sherman Goble. Rehearsals go steadily on, and what is now some- duty but who later sees that the way of the little poor man is the right way. Both roles are exceedingly interesting and will be beautifully done, for Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Deming are experi- enced amateur actresses. "The Little Poor Man" will be a most worth-while production, for it has a fine cast and director and is being produced on a large scale. And in addition to the Drama club and the Young Peoples' club, the play has as backers one hundred prominent woiil- en of the Congregational church. Proceeds from the play will go to aid in the work of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Wolsted, missionaries of the Congregational church in China. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hollister of 1126 Cherry street are sailing from New York today for a two months' trip abroad. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Brown, Jr. and their family, of Wil- mette, will occupy the Hollister home during their absence. Majestic Wreaths and Fragrant Flowers for Memorial Day! sleeps peacefully.
