Estates Red Cross to Give Health Instruction at Lake Lawn, Wis. In addition to the regular courses in | first aid and life saving at the Red Cross Institute, to be held June 16-25 at Lake Lawn, Lake Delavan, Wis, particular emphasis will be given the studies of industrial safety, personal hygiene and sickness prevention. Industrial officials have found that lost time from sickness on the part of employees is ten times as great as the time lost from injury. Eighty percent of the time lost from sickness is in one or two-day absences, showing that the sickness is trivial, and thus avoidable. Many well known health experts make up the faculty of the Red Cross Institute. Among them are: Dr. Her- man N. Bundesen, Chicago commis- sioner of health, and his assistant, Dr. J. C. Nel- son, dietitian, Infant Welfare society; Wis- aboratory of Hygiene. | Garden Show to Attract Many Motorists Saturday Many motorists are planning as their destination for their Saturday and Sunday trips the week end of May 28th and 29th, the Garden Show to be held at Mrs. Rockefeller McCormick's estate in Lake Forest, this Saturday from 12 to 8 in the evening, and on Sunday from 10 in the morning to 8 in the evening. There will be attrac4 tions for all. Miniature gardens, some with special water features, unique flower arrangements and floral pic- tures to interest the garden fancier.
