(b) Refuse to fight regardless of the cause of the war? (c) Be governed by what you con- sidered the justice of the war?" Maria Beauty Culture to Occupy New Quarters The new location of The Maria Beauty Culture, after June 1, will be in the new Humphrey building, at the northwest corner of Elm and Chestnut streets. Its present location is in the Franklin building, over the Adams drug store. In the new quarters Mrs. Maria Lagergren Dollimore, proprie- toress, has installed a fine array of new fixtures, enabling her to compete with the most exclusive shops in Chi- cago. She announces she has secured the services of Mr. Salas, from Chi- cago and with former experience in Eastern cities. The business will be closed over Tuesday. Lansing Hinrichs, son of Mr. and Mrs. K. H. Hinrichs of 363 Sunset road, has been ill with scarlet fever for about a month and is convalescing at the Evanston hospital. Car Loses First Bout With Traffic on Maiden Voyage E. T. Leonard, of the E. T. Leonard Co., builders, with offices at 556 Cen- ter street, Winnetka, drove out a bran new motor car, sports model, Wednes- day afternoon, and that evening, on its really initial trip, the car was com- pletely wrecked, in an accident on Sheridan road at Chestnut street, Wil- mette. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard, accompanied by Miss Agnes Larkin were driving from the Leonard home at 109 Linden avenue, Hubbard Woods, to visit friends in Wilmette. They were on the west side of Sheridan road, driving south and preparing to turn west on Chestnut, when, without warning, John Warren, driving a car owned by Her- mann Katz, of 515 Central avenue, Wilmette, attempted to pass to the right of the Leonard car. There was not room in the street to pass and most of the Katz car was on the parking but not far enough to prevent its side swiping the Leonard car, from which the right fenders and running board were torn. Mrs. Leonard was rendered uncon- cious from the shock and fright, but no one was seriously injured. Council Presents Flags to Four Scout Troops American flags were presented by the Winnetka council to the four Winnetka Boy Scouts troops at a meeting held in the Community House gym May 19. Before the presentation, Troop 3 held patrol meetings. This troop has elected the following new officers: Bob Fox, scribe; Ben Phillips, sergeant-at- arms; Charles Patterson, librarian; and Henry Zinner, reporter. Leland G.
