June 4, 1927 WINNETKA TALK North Shore Alumni to Attend U. of C. Sing Around 700 North Shore residents who are alumni of the University of Chicago, are expected to attend the seventeenth annual University Sing which will be held around the fountain in Hutchinson court Saturday evening, June 11. Fraternity men from many colleges and universities including Northwest- ern, will gather with the Chicago men on that evening. More than 3,000 men sang in the ceremony last year, with an audience of 12,000. Those in charge of the event expect fully as many to participate this year. The program will also be featured by the announcement by President Max Mason, of the marshals and aides selected from next year's senior class for distinctign in scholarship and ac- tivities. Coach A. A. Stagg will also award the C-blankets to all graduating men who have won the "C" in any sport. A bust of Coach Stagg will be presented to the university by the Alumni association. String Quartette Gives Concert at Local Schools A concert by a string quartet di- rected by Mr. Hansen, the violin in- structor at the Skokie school, was given at each of the Winnetka schools on Thursday, June 2.
