It will follow the same general plan that was observed last year, which, it will be remembered, was a program of distinction and beauty. The out-of-doors assembly will in no way be a demonstration, according to those in charge, as the sole object is the pleasure derived in participating and sharing in the singing of songs, in the rhythms and the dances. The general public is invited to attend. In case of rain the festival will be held on the first fair day following. Songs "Morning Song' --English, 18th Century-- Judge Ryner Finds Favor With Voters Along North Shore Voters in New Trier are looking for- ward with pleasure to the privilege of again casting their ballots in favor of the candidacy of Judge Ira Ryner of Wil- mette, chief justice of the Circuit court who is a candidate for reelection to a judicial post in the election to be | held Monday, June 6. Judge Ry- ner has been | a resident of | Wilmette for 20 years and has a wide acquaintance throughout the north shore. His home 1s at 1415 Hill street. The lofty esteem in which he is held by the legal profession in Chicago is indicated in the fact that he was given third position in the Chicago Bar as- sociation's list of twenty endorsements for judgeships in next Monday's ju- dicial election. He has the distinction, also, of having been nominated by three tickets in the forthcoming elec- tion, the Democratic, Republican, and Lawyers' association group. Judge Ryner, prior to entering the judicial ranks, was for 17 years asso- ciated with Colin C. H. Fyffe, one of the best known legal firms in this part of the country. The University of Nebraska and the Harvard Law school boast Judge Ry- ner as a graduate. He is a Phi Beta Kappa. Judge Ryner is numbered among the north shore's pioneer commuters and may be seen any morning of the week making his way with hundreds of other suburbanites to make the 7:55. He is not a golfer but admits he has trimmed and has in turn been trimmed by the best of them in the commuter's favorite pastime of auction bridge. Massey, chairman of the Fast Side Park committee of the Win- netka Park board, is in general charge of plans for the season. The cooperation of the public will be greatly appreciated by the Park board in observing the following beach regulations: Beach Regulations for 1927 1. The bathing beaches at Lake Front Park and at Elder Lane Park will be open Saturday June 18, and vy' remain open until the evening of Thurs- day, September 15, including Sundays and holidays. 2. The Lake officially open from M. to 9:00 o'clock P. Elder Lane Beach from 1:00 o'clock P. M. to 9:00 o'clock P. M. 3. One or two guards will be on duty continuously between the above hours. 4. A matron will be on duty at the Lake Front Beach from 12:00 o'clock noon to 6:00 o'clock P. M. and from 7:00 o'clock P. M. to 9:00 o'clock P M. 5. The temperature of the water and air will be marked on the bulletin board each day. Park Beach will 9:00 o'clogk M. and tho Front 6. If the water is too rough or too cold for bathing, the beach will be closed and a sign to that effect dis- played. 7. Fires will be permitted for picnic parties, except on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and holidays. 8. For purposes of safety children under eight (8) years will not be per- mitted to bathe at this beach unless ac- companied by an adult. 15. No smoking is permitted in the bath house. 16. Winnetka residents using the beaches may secure a family season ticket from the treasurer of the Win. netka Park district, at a price of $2.00 prior to June 15 and $3.00 after June 15. This ticket entitles the family and two house guests at any one time to the use of the beaches and the bath house for the season. Each ticket is numbered and those using the beach may simply state the number on the ticket and the family name to the guard, matron or police officer on duty, the ticket being : retained at home. 18. The charges, in lieu of the ticket, will be 50c for adults and 25c¢c for chil- | dren, on Saturdays, Sundays and hoii- days; on other days the charges will be : 25¢ for adults and 10c for children. An additional fee of 25¢ will be made for the use of a locker at the Lake Front Park Beach, to those not holding a ticket, on Saturdays, Sundays and holi- days. The foregoing fees must be paid to the attendant on duty in the bathing house at Lake Front Park, and to the i guard on duty at Elder Lane Beach, be- fore using the beach facilities. 19. Any violation of the foregoing rules will result in dismissal from the beach, and if persisted in, will result in arrest and prosecution under the ordin--_ ances of the Winnetka Park District.
