Artists for the evening were Madame Theodora Clepp, mezzo- soprano, formerly of the Metropolitan Opera company of New York, and Madame Mathilde von ° Oesteren, Vienna concert pianist, who came re- cently to gain a reputation in America. Madame von Oesteren has written mu- sic for Mrs. Rathbone's "Winds, Sing Me a Song," which is dedicated to Madame Clepp. Richard J. Harney, baritone, a nephew of Mrs. Rathbone, was also one of the artists for the evening. He sang, "I Would Go Back to My Hills Again," the words and music of which are by Mrs. Rathbone, who dedicated it to Charles Marshall of the Chicago Civic Opera company. Mr. Marshall has sung it several times. Mr. Harney, whose home has been in Milwaukee, has accepted a position in Chicago, and plans to move here with his wife and two children within the next fortnight. Kenilworth friends who met Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Bulley of Montreal and Charles Bulley of Toronto when they were in Kenilworth two years ago were glad to hear of their return to Kenilworth last week. They are the guests of Mr. and Mrs, Fred Bulley of 220 Sheridan road. --Q-- Mrs. Arthur W. Ruf and her daugh- ter, Miss Phyllis, of 336 Cumnor road left Kenilworth early last week to go to Texas to visit Bassett Ruf, who was recently married. They will probably return to Kenilworth next week.
