| v T August 20, 1927 WINNETK A TALK Northwestern Adds New Professors in Several Departments Additions to the faculty of North- western university are being made in the various schools and several are an- nounced. A. R. Hatton is made professor of political science coming from Western Reserve university, where he has been professor of the Marcus A. Hanna foundation. Prof. Hatton received his Ph. D. at the the university of Chicago and an LL.D at Franklin college. He is an expert on city government; was lecturer on municipal government at Harvard in 1911; organized the city charter for Cleveland, Ohio, on the pro- portional representation plan, and is at present a member of the city council of that city. Associate Professor Franklin Fear- ing will join the Psychology department this fall. He comes from Leland Stan- ford university where he received his Ph. D. Charles Lester Turner has been made associate professor in the zoology de- partment, coming here from Beloit. He received his Ph. D at the University of Wisconsin in 1918 and has been head of the department of zoology at Beloit since 1920. John Thomas Starke returns here to an associate professorship in geology where he served as assistant professor two years ago. He has his Ph, D. from the University of Chicago. Clifford S.
