New Apartment and Store Block for Hubbard Woods The Hubbard Woods business sec- tion is to have another $175,000 im- provement in the story store and which it is announced is to be erected at the northwest corner of Merrill and Linden avenues. Thomas S. Bulger of Winnetka, is one of the owners. The building will comprise nine shops or stores and twenty-four apartments. It is planned to have it completed by April 1, 1928. There will be 12 issues of the "Jour nalist" this year, according to those in charge of its editing. Six of these will be in "news-magazine"' form and the other six in regulation newspaper style. In the magazine issues, a cover de- sign prepared by the Art department of the Skokie school will be used and regular pages will be assigned to the individual schools. Short stories by the | children and other articles will also ap pear. The news editions, however, will be devoted almost altogether to the pub- lishing of short news items about the schools and members of the faculty and student body. "The Journalist" is edited by staffs chosen in each of the Winnetka schools and is printed by the printing classes at Skokie school, un- der the direction of Wayne L. Claxton. E. M. Skinner, vice-president and general manager of Wilson Brothers, Chicago, will speak at the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce dinner and meeting Monday evening, November 14.
