November 5, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 13 LUNCHEON FOR GRADS Get-Together Event Will Precede Football Game Homecoming Day Northwestern university men and women graduates and ex-students will meet Homecoming day, Saturday, Nov. 12, at luncheon in the ball-room of the Orrington hotel, preceding the football game between the Purple and Indiana. The affair will be under the auspices of the Associate Alumnae. The luncheon guests will assemble at 11:45, and promptly at 12 the meal will be served. That there may be no de- lay to the diners, there will not be speeches nor a set program, but the gathering will be informal, with plenty of cheering and singing, under the leadership of Earl Iredale, Don Rob- ertson at the piano. James Austin Richards will ad- dress the Men's class of the Winnetka Congregational church tomorrow on the subject, "What Jesus Thought About God." The discussion will in- volve a consideration of Jesus' inheri- tance from the Jewish religion, the form of that inheritance, and what He did with it. All men are invited to attend the meeting, which is to be held at 9:30 tomorrow morning in the American Legion room of Community House. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Emrich an- nounce the birth of a daughter, Helen Roberta, on October 23. Mrs. Emrich was the former Helen Wray of Glen- coe. Hold Funeral Services for Mrs. W. S. Watrous Funeral services for Mrs. William Schuyler Watrous, mother of Howard I.. Watrous, 423 Maple avenue, were held last Saturday afternoon from the Community Church at Lake Bluff. Mrs. Watrous passed away at the North Shore Health Resort and was 77 vears of age. She had been a resi- dent of Chicago since 1874 and was) the widow of the late W. S. Watrofis, who was a member of the W. M. Hoyt company, wholesale grocers. In addi- tion to H. L. Watrous, three other sons also survive. Miss Virginia Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Long of 800 Bryant avenue, had a Hallowe'en supper party for seven of her friends.
