New Trier Girls Hear of Wild, Woolly West Friday morning from 8:30 until 9 the senior girls of New Trier High school were entertained with a talk on the West and The Cheyenne Rodeo given by Miss Emelyn Waltz who is a teacher at New Trier. Miss Waltz was head councilor this last summer at Camp Newaka which many New Trier girls attended. She first told of the Cheyenne Rodeo, of the brilliant horse- manship there displayed, of the cow- boys and girls, and of the general atmosphere of the wild and woolly west that pervades Cheyenne. She then passed pictures to illustrate her talk, passing some pictures of the camp. The girls enjoyed these particu- larly as they had a lot of fun recogniz- ing their friends. Miss Waltz closed her talk with some poems that typified the West. This assembly was said by the girls to be one of the best if not the best of the Friday morning assem- i"blies to date.
