This year, from November 28 to December 3, she will hold her exhibit at the Lincoln avenue address. She will show beautiful linens, baby blankecs, scarfs, shawls, and lovely small hooked rugs. Some of the articles will be sold for the benefit of southern mountain schools in which Miss Pavey is greatly interested. This observ- ance has been built upon the principle which was given to the Christian world long, long ago, that "it is more blessed to give than to receive." As a nation we are grateful at the end of the har- vest for all the rich gifts which come to us as a people who dwell in a land of plenty. Yet even in our own land there are those who, through the force of circumstances and, sometimes, acci- dent, are cut off from a generous share of the things that many of us accept as so common. Harvest Home is an opportunity to share a bit what we have. Lowell said, "It is not what we give but what we share, For the gift without the giver is bare." Today and Sunday the members of the Church school will bring gifts of canned and fresh fruits, vegetables, jams and jellies. These will be placed in the front of the church, symbolizing the recognition of the goodness of God. These gifts will then be taken to the Protestant Children's Home in Chi- cago.
