Three tons of this fine fruit, direct from the famous Santa Clara Valley, Cal,, have already been sold by the members of Boy Scout troop 23 and other children of the parish. Orville Simpson, who this year, as last, is underwriting the prune sale campaign, has arranged for 9,000 pounds of prunes to be sold this season, and the rate at which they have been going insures a ready disposal of the remain- ing 3,000 pounds. The plan is not to undersell local merchants. The profits go to the gym- nasium and there are prizes for the boys and girls who lead in the sales campaign. If you have not already bought, you are urged to get in your order, and if vou have bought, see if you cannot find another source for using a few more boxes of prunes, is the plea of the youthful "salesmen" to their north shore friends. .
