Miss Belle Sherwin, the national president, who made a hurried trip from the Moraine Hotel in Highland Park, where the national board is in session, gave a most fitting talk as an introduction to the educational pro- gram planned by Mrs. William B. Moulton, Winnetka chairman of edu- cation. Miss Sherwin emphasized the large curriculum of study undertaken by the League in its efforts to educate women for political service. The four college women -- Miss Katherine Adams, representing Bryn Mawr; Miss Mary Jane Judson, Smith; Mrs. Hallet Thorne, Vassar; and Mrs. Fred Page, Wisconsin-- brought out in so entertaining a way the work done in their respective col- leges toward fitting women graduates for civic service that the entire audi- ence wished that they might enter col- lege at once.
