March 17, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 25 SUBURBAN BUILDING SHOWS SLIGHT GAIN First two Months of 1928 Indi- cate 8 Percent Gain Over January, February 1927 Chicago suburban building for the opening months of this year show an 8 per cent gain over the same period a year ago. The indication, according to the building permit index, is that building will continue active for the next sixty to ninety days. For the first two months of 1928, the twenty-seven principal suburbs for which comparative records are avail- able showed a volume, according to official permits issued, of $12,794,545 as compared with $11,834,613 for the first two months of 1927.
