Davies was the speaker at the Young People's meeting at the Congregational church last Sunday, directing a discussion on " What can the Young People's group do in the ten Sundays left of this church school year?" It was decided that the Rev. James A. Richards will speak Sunday, March 25, on "The Meaning of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus." It was also suggested, but not settled, that the club shall hold a sunrise prayer meeting on Easter morning at 7 o'clock, to bring about a better realization of the meaning and spirit of Easter. Other subjects suggested for dis- cussion later in the year were, "What Is Vital to Me in My Religion?" and "What Is the Best Way to Get Help from Religion?" TEA FOR DR. GLENN FRANK Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Keller of Wil- mette entertained at tea last Sunday evening in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Frank. The following alumni of the University of Wisconsin, of which Dr. Frank is president, were present: Mr. and Mrs. George IL Haight of Evanston, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Byron and Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Conrad of Winnetka, and Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Schuchardt of Chicago. Dr. Frank addressed the Wilmette Sunday evening club that night on "Politics and Business." Roderick McKenzie returned Thurs- day from the Asheville Boys' school at Asheville, N. C, to pass a two weeks' spring vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. McKenzie of 1185 Laurel avenue. Mrs. McKenzie re- turned recently, with her daughter, Roxanne, from Ann Arbor, Mich, where she spent a week with her father, Judge B. H. Lane. On the teams of Win- netka women are Miss Elizabeth Lam- son, Miss Peggy Waidner, Miss Margot Atkin, Miss Betty Pain, Mrs. Thomas McLaren, Miss Louisa May Greeley, Miss Marion Montgomery, Mrs. Cath- erine Norwood, Miss Rosamund Coffin, Miss Catherine Richardson, Miss Mary Louise Fenton, Miss Margaret De Lay, Miss Rose Lauder, and Miss Frances von Hofsten, WINS PRIZES FOR PAINTINGS Rudolph Ingerle of Ravinia, member of the North Shore Art league, was awarded the gold medal Monday by the Chicago Association of Painters and Sculptors for his entries in the thirty-second annual exhibition of Chi- cago artists at the Art institute. He also has been named the receiver of the William Randolph Hearst prize for his painting, "Swappin Grounds." Most of Mr. Ingerle's recent works are landscapes painted in the smoky moun- tains of North Carolina.
