Newhall Glencoe 267 40 No. Dearborn Central 4625 State Auditor Nelson is Popular With Voters Here Many north shore voters are ex- pressing keen interest in the candidacy of Oscar Nelson, who is seeking re- nomination on the Republican ticket for the office of State Auditor of Pub- lic Accounts, which he has filled in highly acceptable manner for several vears. Mr. Nelson pledges the voters "continued faithful and efficient public service in this department of the state government." He seeks re-election solely on the strength of his excellent record in that office. Mr. and Mrs. S. Scott Joy, Miss Dorothy Joy, Miss Elizabeth Joy and Bob Joy, 370 Sheridan road, are ex- pected to return from Lake Wales, Fla. the latter part of the week. The Joys have been away from the north shore for about three months. Executive Committee of N.S. Relations Group Holds Meeting A meeting of the executive com- mittee of the North Shore Relations committee, composed of representa- tives of the Chambers of Commerce of the five north shore communities from Evanston to Highland Park inclusive, was held at the offices of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce on 'Thursday of this week. The meeting, called by C. D. Hardy, chairman, was held for the purpose of discussing matters concerning the en- tire north shore and for the purpose of considering the advisability of call- ing a general meeting of the Relations committee. The North Shore Relations com- mittee was formed last October for the purpose of discussing and co-oper- ating in the solving of problems of mutual interest to the five commu- nities, which include Evanston, Wil- mette, Winnetka, Glencoe and High- land Park. Each Chamber of Com- merce is represented on the com- mittee by five members, chosen from its own members and including its president. The members of the executive com- mittee are C. D. Hardy, Evanston, gen- eral chairman; Irene I. Strickler, Wil- mette, general secretary; Paul Udell of Highland Park, general vice-chairman; and members, William Edwards of Glencoe, H. B. Gates of Wilmette, and | R. H. Schell of Winnetka. Ayres Boal, Jr., arrived home today from Dartmouth, to spend his spring vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ayres Boal, of 701 Sheridan road.
