All Honor to the Man Who Wrote the "Sea Plus" Production Great Credit to W. A. A. (Contributed) Full of haunting tunes and snappy lines was "Sea Plus," the nautical mu- sical comedy, presented by the Wom- en's Athletic association of North- western on March 28, 30, and 31 at the new Haven school in Evanston. Beth Paffenrath and Bertha Peterson starred in this 9th annual W. A. A. show as Paul and Francine, students on board a floating university. Their adventures on shipboard and in Paris, the Alps, and Spain were complicated by trouble with a vanishing fraternity pin, about which the plot centers. The book was written by Neal Stan- ford of Evanston. Joe Bren, a pro- fessional, coached the show, and set- tings were designed and executed by Aleyn Burtis of the School of Speech. The orchestra was a student one, and all the music was written by students. There were seven choruses. Virginia Bradford, Helen Ellis, Ruth Hinchliff, Marion Wolf, and Elizabeth Sweet, all of Wilmette, had parts, and Esther Springer of Kenilworth had a part in the beauty chorus.
