Grade Separation Committee Seeks Experts' Counsel A special committee comprised of President Winfred D. Gerber of Glen- co. President Henry F. Tenney of Winnetka, and Paul A. Hoffman, Wil- mette village trustee, was appointed Wednesday at a meeting of the North Shore Grade Separation committee rep- resenting the villages of Wilmette, Ken- ilworth, Winnetka, Glencoe and High- land Park, to consider the matter of re- taining legal and engineering counsel to assist in the committee's deliberations. The Grade Separation committee, with Chairman Tenney presiding, in addition to discussing the matter of engaging expert counsel considered the matter of equitable pro-ration of cost to the villages concerned in con- nection with the grade separation pro- ject. It was reported that the com- mittee was progressing satisfactorily with its plans to expedite grade sep- aration of the two railroads travers- ing the villages. The Grade Separation committee is made up of municipal officials appointed several months ago in each of the vil- lages as members of a group to study the problems of grade separation as applied to the north shore, and to negoti- ate with railroad officials in the hope of securing earliest possible action in the matter of grade separation.
