April 14, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 19 Broadcast Talks at Annual Walton League Sessions Speakers at the Izaak Walton league national convention at Omaha, April 21, will broadcast their talks over station WOW at the annual ban- quet, 9:30 P. M. of that date, it was announced this week at headquarters of the organization. Among talks to be broadcast will be those of former governor John M. Parker, Louisiana, prominent in nation- al flood control work, and Arthur Hawkes, Canadian journalist and pub- licist, who will advocate establishment of an international wilderness play- ground area of the present Superior National Forest, Minnesota, and the Quetico Provincial Forest. Twenty-one other radio stations are broadcasting Walton league programs at regular intervals, according to national headquarters of the league. Floy Little Bartlett Is to Broadcast for Meeting Six thousand music supervisors are meeting in Chicago next week at the Stevens hotel. Miss Agnes Benson, supervisor for the City of Chicago, has invited Floy Little Bartlett of Winnet- ka to broadcast her Mozart story for Chicago school children and plans to have the program broadcast into the ballroom of the Stevens for delegates as an example of what Chicago is doing along this line. About two hundred schools now have radios and listen in on these school programs sent over the air from WMAQ. Mrs. Bartlett will be assisted in giving her story by the Whitney trio. Pictures of Mozart are to be shown also as Mrs. Bartlett tells his story to the children. "Historical Song Miniatures" by Floy Little Bartlett, with music, story, and tableaux, just has come off the press. This work includes the Mozart day from 9 to 9:25, over WMAQ. She will give a program of her own com- positions the same afternoon for the Barrington Woman's club. Mrs. Guy Stuart Bailey, soprano, and Valona Brewer, violinist, will assist her.
