Golf Club The Northwestern Golf club held its annual dinner and election of officers for 1928 at the North Shore hotel, Evanston, Thursday, April 5. The fol- lowing officers were elected: Harry M. Bachman, Wilmette, president; Ralph Hayden, Evanston, vice-president; George M. Hubbard, Evanston, secretary; A. W. Wilkins, Chicago, assistant secretary; Julian Tiffany, Wilmette, treasurer. The Sports and Pastimes committee is planning a very busy season of spe- cial events for the members. All the tournaments except the club cham- pionship are run on a handicap basis so that all members have an equal chance. . : Many improvements are being made by the Cook county commissioners at the Northwestern to make it one of the best courses in the county as the course is in one of the beauty spots of the Forest Preserves.
