The total damage resulting from the fires was only $1,935. Efficient work of the department resulted in holding this figure down. Ten hundred eighty- five dollars worth of the damage was to buildings and $850 to contents thereof. The value of buildings involved was $150,900 and the total value of con- tents endangered was $22,550. Seven of the fires were classified as "rubbish" fires; the cause of four fires is unknown; an overheated boiler and an overheated stove each caused one; two resulted from the use of naphtha for cleaning purposes; burning grease, defective electric wiring and a false alarm were recorded as the cause of the three remaining calls. 4--Camp Fire Girls Evening-- 7--Dancing 7 :30--Boy Scouts 8--Congregational Church choir Friday Morning-- 9--Kindergarten 9--Rehearsal 12:15--Rotary Club luncheon Afternoon-- 4--_Motion pictures 4--Pathfinders 4--Blue Birds Evening-- 7--Dancing 7:15-9--Motion pictures 7 :30--New Trier Rifle club 8--Panthers 8--Scout Troop committee 8--Izaak Walton league Saturday Morning-- 9-- Meltzer School of Music 9--Dancing Afternoon-- 2--Boys' gym class KUHNS, DITTUS & KUHNS Safeguarded Investments 11 South La Salle Street, Chicago--Central 2990 Highland Park Address R.
