April 21, 1928 WINNETKA TALK -- wn "Goose Hangs High" to Be Presented by Glencoe Thespians Next week Thursday and Friday evenings bring the Young People's society of the North Shore Methodist Episcopal church, Hazel and Green- leaf avenues, Glencoe, in the popular comedy, "The Goose Hangs High," by Beach. This play pleased Chicago audiences several years ago, when, it will be remembered, the famous Mrs. Whiffen appeared to such advantage in the part of the grandmother. Mrs. Harold C. Case will take this role next week. Several of the favorite actors of the society are appearing in "The Goose Hangs High," actors who have proven their metal in "It Pays to Advertise," "Nothing but the Truth," and "The Family Upstairs," plays the society has presented during the past two years. Mrs. Florence Fox Below, who did excellent work as a society matron in "Nothing But the Truth," will have the role of Eunice, the unselfish mother of three children. Fred Bray, who has been receiving acclaim for his acting in the society's and the Threshold Players' productions, will have the part of her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Wheeler are to play the twins, Lois and Bradley, two impulsive college students, and example of the younger generation of today. The other son will be taken by Martin P. Below, whose work was much liked in "Noth- ing But the Truth." Miss Willa E. Hamm, who has acted in nearly all of the society's plays, will have the part of an older woman, Aunt Julia; and : John R. Pretzel is to have the role of her son, Ronald. Newcomers in the society complete the cast. W. King- sley Abernethy will be Leo; J. C. Whitaker, Noel; Miss Clara George, Rhoda; and Miss Helen Demling, Dagmar Carroll. Those who have not already secured tickets from members of the Young People's society may get them at the door Thursday and Friday evenings. The performance begins at 8:20 o'clock. Harvard Club Host to Prospective Students Seven New Trier High school boys who contemplate entering Harvard university next fall were recently en- tertained by the Harvard University club of Chicago. The group is com- prised of Frank Gilchrist, George Pat- tison, Frank Watt, Dean Vail, Rollin Simmonds, Earl Poronto, and Stod- dard Small. George Pattison, Frank Watt, Rollin Simmonds, Dean Vail, and Stoddard Small are members of T. N.
