The figures for June of this year, how- ever, are considerably lower than for the preceding month, but this easily is accounted for by the fact that one permit in May was for $150,000 for a new school. The total was $190,775. Five permits were issued in June for new residences, these accounting for $115,000. One of these new structures is costing $60,000. It is a two-story brick and tile with garage being built for Thomas P. Dowdle at 144 Wood- stock avenue. Alteration permits were for a total of $4,500. In addition to the new Dowdle resi- dence, the permits called for the erec- tion of the following: Warren Hathaway, two-story brick veneer residence and two car garage at 324 Sterling road, $20,000. R. A. Bullinger, two-story brick and concrete residence and two car garage at 707 Kenilworth avenue, $15,000. Charles Gudbransen, two-story brick and tile residence and two car garage at 550 Earlston road, $17,000. Robert J. Kroschel, two-story brick vencer residence and attached garage, $13,000.
