The Scouts will start the program with the camp fire lighting ceremony, and will follow it with community singing, yells, stunts, a cracker eating contest, songs by the Scouts, and end with a story by Mr. Kreusch, scout- master of Troop 9, Wilmette. At 2 o'clock next Monday afternoon an area wide field meet, open to all the Scouts in the North Shore Area council, will be held at the cabin in the woods. To enter any of the con- tests, the Scout must be registered at Scout headquarters, be in good stand- ing, and must enter himself in the event at the headquarters, 360 Central avenue, before July 27. A big fun rally will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, August 1, at the cabin in the woods. One of the outstanding events of the rally will be the wool-hunt. In the foolish- ness parade by the troops, each troop will dress as clowns in pajamas or any assortment of clothing. In the shoe scramble, two Scouts from each troop will put their shoes in piles. On the word to go, the runners will race to the pile, find their own shoes, put them on, lace them up, and return to the starting line. These events will be under the di- rection of the North Shore Activities director, W. Ted Grant, who will be assisted by the troop leaders.
