Starr Best, founder and vice-president of the National Drama league, is among those entertaining Walter Pritchard Eaton, New York dramatic critic, who is in Chicago this week in interest of the New York Theater guild which will appeal in Ev- anston soon. Monday afternoon she opened her new home for a re- ception in his honor at which Mr. Eaton talked drama, comparing Shaw and O'Neil and telling about the guild. She is assisting in the reception for Mr. Eaton to be given by the Chicago Drama league tomorrow at the Black- stone. A tea in Mrs. Best's honor will be given at the Chicago Y.W.C.A. Sept. Evanston Gardeners Enter Exhibits in Wilmette Display Flowers from Evanston gardens, ar- ranged in varied displays, were entered in the flower show of the Wilmette Garden club, held Friday at the home of Mrs. Frank Scheidenhelm in Wil- mette. A committee of judges con- sisting of Mrs. William Evans, chair- man, Mrs. R. Cook and Mrs. K. Wild, all members of the Evanston Garden club, judged the exhibits, which in- cluded displays from each of the four gardens of Wilmette which won prizes in the Tribune contest. The ribbon winners were as follows: Class A, artistic arrangement. Exhibit of garden flowers in vase or basket--first, Mrs. B. L. Davis, second, Mrs. C. R. Norman and third, Mrs. G. Wilson for large effect; for small effect--first, Mrs. K. E. Kellenberger, second, Mrs. F. Schei- denhelm and third, Mrs. C. Van Deursen. Exhibit of wild flowers--first, Mrs. W. G. Mitchell, second, Mrs. R. Sonneborn and third, Mrs. A. J. Stinson. Exhibit of miniature rock gardens--Mrs. R. Sonne- born. Exhibit of breakfast tray for one --first, Mrs. A. E.
