ey September 29, 1928 WINNETKA TALK 61 Brilliant Lights Flood McCormick Road Be 5 Photo by Toloff A flood of light poured over McCormick road Friday evening when Pres. T. J. Crowe of the Sanitary district of Chicago pressed the button releasing current into the lamps lining the four and one-half mile boulevard which flanks Evanston on the west. Six hundred lamps of 1,000 candle power each are now in brilliance each evening giving the road the lightness of day. The new lights are mounted on fifteen-foot standards at intervals of 100 feet and equip McCormick with a system comparable to that of the loop This lighting project marks the concluding phase of improvement of the highway. Thousands and thousands of homes have had this modern comfort for five, eight, ten years. A good automatic oil burner-- KLEEN-HEET or any other good one--requires a little attention OIL HEAT needs no hokum now and then. It will not cut heating bills in half; neither will it increase them. But it will give more comfort per dollar spent. That's the whole story: more comfort per dollar; the modern thing for modern people to have. You won't go wrong with any good oil burner--and there are some others besides KLEEN- HEET. Lots of home-owners think KLEEN-HEET is best of them all. You may, too. The important thing is to find out what good oil heat can mean to your family. A MODERN DEVELOPMENT HAS REMOVED THE PRICE OBSTACLE FOR HOME OWNERS wo tABoR - NO COAL others combined! Ralph W.
