Lawndale avenue between Joliet road and Archer avenue is now open. 96th avenue, which is designated but not marked as Illinois-51, is paved and open from 111th street to 14 miles | north of the Lincoln Highway. US-27--Detour at 2 miles south of Richmond because of construction for 5% miles. Slow down between Rich- mond and Chester; workmen repairing shoulders. Detour from 1% miles south of Bryant to 4 mile north of Bryant because of construction for 5 miles . Detour ¥ mile west of Berne to 1 mile south of Monroe because of construction for 5 miles. De- tour from 1 mile south of Decatur to Decatur because of construction for 1% miles. Detour from 7 miles north of Decatur to Fort Wayne because of construction for 17 miles.
