New Trier added a sixth victory to the season's football record, which is mar- red only by the tie with Lindblom, by running up a 34 to 0 score against Streator, at Indian Hill, last Saturday. The game was played on the practice field opposite the varsity gridiron in order to save the regular field for the game with Evanston Thanksgiving Day. The downpour which beat upon the shivering spectators during most of the game changed the gridiron into a slip- pery mess of mud and the game into a comedy featured by plays that went over the referee and left him lying in a mud puddle, slides along the oozy field that gained more ground than most runs, kicks that bounced behind the kicker and many fumbles. Almost all the fumbles were recovered by New Trier and Kingsley fell on one behind the visitors' goal to score a safety. The new rain- proof suits worn by the Grey-Green first team gave them a big advantage over their opponents, with their sopping wet uniforms. Streator was on the short end of the score by the fifth play of the game. Connor returned the kickoff by a beau- tiful run to the 20-yard line, Three line bucks failed to get anywhere and then Eaton caught a pass from Connor and raced over the goal line. Raleigh Blake's dropkick was blocked. Streator made a strong bid for a score when one of the flashy red-jerseyed backs sped away for over 35 yards. He was tackled on New Trier's 20-yard line though and Coach Ashenbach sent in the first team to replace the second string, players who had started the game. They got the ball by intercepting a Streator pass and pushed it rapidly out of their territory. Tom Hicks broke away for about 40 yards and was downed only eight yards from Streator's line. Al Richards plunged through center to the 3-yard line and Tom took the pigskin the rest of the way for New Trier's second Middlebrook Country Club Busy With Social Events An informal party was held at the club house of the Middlebrook Coun- try club on Waukegan road, Saturday evening, November 17. A dinner was served to about fifty members, fol- lowed by bridge. Monday, November 19, there was a meeting of the membership of the club at which committee reports were made and action taken insuring numerous improvements and additions to the club property. A formal party is being planned by the entertainment committee, Dr. E. D. Kelly, chairman. OPEN CAGE SEASON The first of a series of interclass basketball games was played this week at Millinckrodt High school. The freshmen tried their strength against the seniors. The score 51-10, in favor of the latter, has shown the under classmates what practice and experi- ence does, not only in the regular course of study, but in athletics as well. OBERLIN CLUB TO MEET The North Shore Oberlin Woman's club will meet on Monday, November 26, at 2:30 o'clock, with Mrs. F. E. Smith, 1426 Forest avenue, Evanston. Miss Rebecca Ashley of Roycemore, who is an Oberlin alumnae will give a lecture on "Italian Art." touchdown. Al went around Streator"s line for the extra point. The Grey-Green score was boosted to 19 points when Carl Hall caught a pass from Tom Hicks behind the visitors' goal line. The try for point after touchdown failed. New Trier marched down the field again but was held for fourth down just short of its objective. The Streator back who was to kick out fumbled behind his goal and Kingsley dived onto the ball to score a safety and make New Trier's score 21. Another uninterrupted march ended when Dewar slid for about five yards for six more Gray-Green points. The extra point was not made. Al Richards ran through the losers' line for the last touchdown. Tom Hicks splashed around right end to score the point after touchdown.
