After all, how could anyone bla-- me him if he decided in favor of the latter? Surely Santa has heard of the Cireolo Colombo New Year's fi ,-- lic. For that matter who hasn't? Who would leave town with such an affair in view? No less than Santa, I hope. Hot dogs were very popular at the meeting which was held at Bill Bagnato's house the Sunday before Christmas. As expected, a small turnout resulted due to the fact that most of the boys were busy arrang. ing the fruits for the day before Christmas sale. ADIEU 1934! AVE 1935! The meeting was short and sweet and card games and hot dogs were the order of the day. All members will be expected to attend the first meeting of the New Year. i Sunday night was a terrible night. Of a 'special feature, the committee has arranged for a very popular master of ceremonies for the evening. re to pay for the game. It certainly was a great tournament! 'Twas the night before Christmas. What happened? Plenty! After mid-- night mass not a person was seen out on the street, nor at home either except for those who entertained. A couple of the boys visited the home of Erma Miceli on Bellwoods and enjoyed a fine time. So it was heard. Some one we know starved for a week but made up for it that night. Four a. m. was certainly a great time to call on friends. Maybe they were Santa Claus and maybe they weren't. Anyway the tenants had to get up. They showed them their Christmas tree and presents. A few minutes later one of the children got up. Was she surprised! She thought that Santa came in the morning and so he did. As is the usual custom, families get together for Christmas. That was one day that the club members weren't assembled. Everyone was at his respective home, enjoying a day with the family. After dinner, the young ones went to the show while the older people played old Italian card games or talked over old times again. New Year's is a repetition of Christmas. Another quiet day for the boys. The Club wishes you all and prosperous New Year. Vanguard Chatter The boys want to thank dear old St. Nick for bringing them a tie each (as usual). With the coming of the New Year, the boys are all busy making resolutions. We are not going to give you a list of them; after all, resolutions are only made to be broken. Here is a little poem dedicated to the coming of New Years, as recited by Phil:s New Years! Oh New Years! You come but once a year! Allow me to con-- vey the idea that dancing will begin at 9 p. m. and not end until (?). By 3 a. m. everyone will be raring to do bigger, funnier, louder things.
