- Site Description
- The remains of the Chisholm and the Cumberland now lie intermixed in the ravine on the southwest end of Rock of Ages Reef at Isle Royale, Lake Superior. The most intact sections are the sides and bottom of the Chisholm. The Chisholm engine and rudder settled on the side of the shoal in 70ft to 150 ft of water. The remains of the Cumberland paddle wheels (not shown in model) are at the other extreme end of the site in 80 ft of water. Site Coverate - Partial This model covers only the center area of the site.
