- Upper Left: Cameo Episcopal Ring. This episcopal ring was originally gifted to Most. Rev. John T. Kidd, Bishop of Calgary, when he was first consecrated in 1925 and subsequently worn by Most. Rev. M. Pearse Lacey, Auxiliary Bishop of Toronto from 1979.
Top Middle: A copy of the lost original ring that was given to Cardinal Carter when he was elevated to the Sacred College of Cardinals by Pope John Paul II on June 30, 1979.
The ring is made entirely of yellow gold. Design in cast-relief depicts the crucifixion, with the Madonna and St. John portrayed at the foot of the Cross.
Upper Right: Vatican II Council ring. Given to Most. Rev. Philip Pocock while he was Coadjutor Archbishop of Toronto. Gift from Pope Paul VI in 1965 to all the prelates who had attended the ecumenical council of Vatican II.
Bottom Right: This amethyst ring was made for Cardinal McGuigan and given to him by the Basilian Fathers following his elevation to the College of Cardinals in 1946. - Subject(s)
