From tufted birettas to precious mitres, this exhibit showcases a selection of the different styles and designs of headwear that adorned the various heads of the Archdiocese of Toronto’s clergy over the years. As each of the panels that follow will illustrate, not all ecclesiastical hats are created equal, as strict protocols govern who can wear what, how and when.
