V x, THEATRE TAKES SHAPE -- These photos of a recent project of Wilson Concrete of Belleville illustrates a new concept in drive-in theatre construction. The top picture shows one of the 74-foot-long, 33-ton "T"-slabs that form the theatre "screen" being loaded for transportation at Wilson's Belleville plant. The stabilizing fin which gives each slab a base width of 10 feet can be seen in the centre photo as one of the massive slabs of prestressed concrete is transported along Highway 401.
