A Milton woman was pulled over while driving on Trafalgar Rd. Monday morning by a man Halton Police believe was posing as a police officer. At approximately 8:45 a.m. police say the 33-year-old woman was driving northbound on Trafalgar Rd. north of 5 Sideroad when she was stopped by a man in a maroon vehicle. The vehicle had red lights on the dash and the roof that were activated, and she believed it was a police vehicle. She said the man, who was wearing a dark-coloured uniform, approached her car. He did not identify himself and asked the woman how often she traveled the road alone. When she asked the man if he was a police officer he didn't respond and walked back to his car. She drove off. The man is described as 5'10", white, with short black hair. He was wearing a dark uniform with stripes down his pant legs, a black jacket and aviator-style sunglasses. He had no identifying patches on his sleeves. The man did not identify himself as a police officer but gave the impression he was one, say police. They caution anyone who is stopped to ask for identification if they have any doubt about the person's identity. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-878-5511 ext. 2106.
