Athletes of the Week

Acton High School Athletes of the Week are Brendon Bennett and Sarah Glassford. Bennett, a shooting guard on the junior Bearcats basketball team was chosen for his strong offensive play, as well as scoring against MDHS. Glassford, the captain and power of the Bearcats junior volleyball team, was selected for her good serving and hitting against ECD. Georgetown District High School Athletes of the Week are Mackenzie Kimm and Kyle Cresswick. Kimm, a member of the Rebels swim team as cited for finishing in the top 10 at the University of Guelph meet, in the 100 breast stroke and 100 back stroke events. Cresswick, also a member of the Rebels swim team, was recognized for achieving his personal best of 37.3 seconds in the 50 breast stroke. Christ the King Athletes of the Week are Ben Flikkema and Jessica Mink. Flikkema, a guard on the Jaguars senior basketball team, was selected for his strong game against GDHS where he scored 12 points. Mick, a middle on the Jaguars junior volleyball team, was chosen for her strong net play and hitting against BR.
