Physician opens practice in Georgetown : Dr. Abdel Malek is Halton's latest recruitment

The Halton Physician Recruitment Initiative recently welcomed Dr. Wafik Abdel Malek to Halton Hills. Dr. Abdel Malek has joined Dr. Seegobin's office on Sinclair Avenue in Georgetown, where he is welcoming new patients. Dr. Abdel Malek recently completed his family medicine residency training through the University of Toronto. He previously practised for 15 years as a family physician in Egypt. "Even though the Halton Physician Recruitment Initiative has attracted more than 60 doctors to Halton since 2002, there is still more work to do," said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. "Halton's population is expected to increase and we will continue our efforts to ensure our residents have access to quality medical care as our communities grow".
