DROWNED. - Intelligence has been received that Mr. Jas. Harkness, of Listowel, jeweller, and say (son?) of Mr. Wm. Harkness of Erin Township, was drowned in the Red River about fifteen miles from Pembina. He was returning from a business trip, and fell off the boat into the river. Mr. Harkness of London, his brother, left immediately for the scene of his brother's disappearance. A telegram dated Winnipeg 26th June says:- The body has been found. On his person were twenty-seven gold and silver watches besides money.
