- MR. ARCH. MCNAB.- On Sunday last our citizens were surprised and grieved by the news of the death of Mr. Arch. McNab, of Eramosa, whose demise took place on Saturday afternoon. The old gentleman was in Acton on Tuesday, and although he had been ailing for some time previous, seemed much better that day than usual, and the news of his death so soon afterwards was a surprise to all. He was about 69 years of age, and had been a resident of Eramosa since 1844. He attended the Presbyterian Church in this village, and being a frequent visitor in town was acquainted with many of our villagers, all of whom held him in the highest respect. His partner in life died on the 7th Jan. last, their separation being consequently very short. Thus one by one the old landmarks are being removed.
