A sad case of bereavement occurred in our village last week, in the death of the wife of Mr. J. P. Worden, on Friday afternoon. After one short year of happy married life Mr. Worden is left alone with a two week's old babe. He has the warmest sympathy of our citizens in his affliction. The funeral was held on Monday and was very largely attended. As a mark of brotherly syumpathy the hearse was escorted by the members of Acton Lodge, I.O.O.F., of which society Mr. Worden is a member.
