ROCKWOOD.
Last Friday there were two funerals in this neighborhood, of two old settlers. Mrs. Heffernan, Mrs. F. Lee's mother, succumbed to a stroke of paralysis after a very short illness. The old lady had attained the goodly age of eighty-four years. Mr. Wm. McFarlane reached a very peaceful end, passing away as in sleep. He came to Eramosa from Ireland when this country was in its youth and has lived here ever since, a useful and respected citizen. At his death he was eighty-five years. Both funerals were largely attended.- Featured Link
