A Former Miltonian Deceased.
Last Thursday Mr. Joshua Freeman, who was well known by many residents of Acton and vicinity, died very suddenly at his home at St. Mary's. Mr. Freeman was a son of the late John Freeman, who lived for many years on the homestead adjoining the village of Georgetown. His wife, who survives him, was a daughter of the late Alexander Brown sr., of Acton. Shortly after his marriage, in 1856, Mr. Freeman removed to St. Marys and settled on a farm on the limits of the corporation of that town; where he has ever since been a respected resident. He leaves two daughters, the eldest being the wife of Rev. Mr. Treleavec, of Aylmer, and the other, Mrs. McLaren, Manitoba; also two sons one of whom is married. The funeral at St. Marys on Saturday was very largely attended.
