Over Fifty Years in Eramosa.
Last Sunday an old and highly esteemed resident - Mrs. William McNab - departed this life. She had not suffered from any extended illness, but since her husband's death, three years ago, her health has not been at all rugged. She was, however, able to be about until a week before her death. Mrs. McNab was a native of Perthshire, Scotland. She was married to her late husband, William McNab, in the old house and shortly thereafter departed for Canada. They settled on lot 4, con. 6, Eramosa, in 1844 and this has ever since been the homestead. All the members of the family, three sons and three daughters, survive their parents. Mrs. McNab was ever since girlhood a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church, in her earlier days at Acton and latterly at Rockwood. The remains were interred in Fairview Cemetery, Acton, yesterday, in the presence of a very large concourse of friends.
