A very sudden death took place here on Saturday night by which this village lost an old and much esteemed resident, in the person of Mr. T. S. Corner. Mr. Corner had been at Rockwood Fair on Tuesday, returning home he had resumed work on Wednesday at Terra Cotta where he was building a house for Mr. Dolson. Thursday morning he complained of being ill, and quitting work he started for home. He got a ride as far as Union. In going from Union as far as Mr. Starret's he spent almost four hours. He was then taken to his home. The doctor was called and pronounced the trouble summer cholera. The illness had then advanced too far and recovery was impossible. Mr. Corner was 75 years of age, a native of Ireland, but came to the Glen from Rockwood. A widow, two sons and a daughter survive. - Featured Link
