- Death of Rev. Christopher Cookman
Rev. Christopher Cookman died at his home at Weston on Christmas day after a long illness. The remains will be brought to Acton on this morning's train, for the interment in Fairview Cemetery beside the remains of his first wife. Rev. Mr. Cookman entered the Methodist ministry at Drayton in 1863 and for over forty years continued in the work, superannuating three years ago. In 1867 he was stationed at Acton, and a year or so later married Sara Jane, daughter of the late Asa Hall, Esq. Mrs. Cookman predeceased him about thirty years ago; several years after which he married his present widow. One son and three daughters survive. - Featured Link
