MRS. FRED NUTLEY
After a year of patient suffering death came to Mrs. Fred Nutley, Main Street, on Tuesday morning. In June of last year Mrs. Nutley was taken ill, and a diagnosis of her case proved her ailment to be internal cancer. An operation was performed in October but this proved to be ineffectual and she was confined to her bed until her death. Fred Nutley, who was a British soldier, a native of Ascot Berks, Berkshire, while stationed at Halifax, married Bertha Duggan, in the Garrison Church at Halifax on April 6th, 1897. The first eight years of their married life were spent in Halifax. They then came west and lived for a few months in Toronto, and nine years ago settled in Acton. The sorrowing husband and five children survive. Mrs. Nutley was a good wife and mother, and will be sadly missed in the home. She was a member of St. Allan's Church, and the funeral was held from there to Fairview Cemetery yesterday afternoon. - Featured Link
