- Farmer Killed by Windmill
Last Wednesday, Fred Shaw, of Speedside, went up on the barn to oil the windmill, when he apparently became caught in the gearing and was whirled to his death. Not coming in to dinner, his wife went out to look for him and saw his body fast in the mill. Neighbors quickly rallied but he was dead when reached and only with the greatest difficulty was he removed, his clothing being wound so tightly in the machinery. He was a young man of 25 years and was married a year ago. Much sympathy is expressed for the young widow and baby son so suddenly bereft. - Featured Link
