FIRKALY, Rose (Szucs)- Passed away suddenly on February 3, 2007 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Louis Firkaly. Loving mother of Rosanne and h e r h u s b a n d Te d B a t e m a n . S a d l y missed by her sisters: Helen Stratton, Marion Yuhasz, and her brothers: George Szucs, Andrew Szucs, Frank Szucs and Louis Szucs. Predeceased by her sister Kristine Meszaros. Rose was raised in Saskatchewan, moved to Montreal and established a career in fashion design. In later years, she moved to the Okanagan Valley and subsequently to Oakville. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the E m e r g e n c y U n i t o f O . T. M . H . , a n d t o E.M.S. Halton for their compassion and care. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, 905-844-3221, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Thursday February 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or to Ian Anderson House.
